They did a great service on my automobile. This time was an oil change but they did check everything on my car and made recommendations on things that needed to be done so I will return as soon as I can to get the other work done. They are a great team!!

Broke down by I-35 at like 3am on my way to Texas. Found Shepherd Automotive on maps and crawled my car to their parking lot around 330am and went to sleep. Woke up around 5am to the roaring sound of some beast of a motor 30-40 yards away. Scared the hell out of me 😅. Spoke to the guy which was a mechanic there and told me they opened up at 8am. Told them what was goin on with my car and they went over and beyond on my repair, which was fairly priced AND they fixed it that day. Both CVs, oil change and some stuff that improved the quietness and stability of my vehicle. I am actually glad my car broke down there. I feel they not only fixed the repairs but went out of their way to improve my vehicles safety. They made sure I was safe driving and safe for the people around me. These guys are solid. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thanks dudes. I appreciate the free valve caps on my tires too.

Unfortunately it wasn’t a good experience. You weren’t able to fix the problem I sent it in for. You said you weren’t able to find the issue because the car was starting fine. Which couldn’t possibly have been the truth because when I picked it up, of course it still wasn’t starting. So ultimately I concluded that it had to be a lie. For what reason I don’t know. I was charged for a diagnostic test, specific to my battery and the car not starting. You claim you weren’t able to check for these things so I was charged but didn’t receive the service I needed. Thumbs down.

We take all service concerns seriously, and put a lot of effort into getting an accurate and complete diagnosis. Intermittent failures are as frustrating for us as it is for you. We do not guess. You would be equally unhappy if we sold you repairs that didn't fix your car. As it is, we charged 50% of our normal testing and inspection fee. We spent a lot of time on your car trying to pinpoint the issue, and were not able to. The failure to start when you picked up the car was the first time it failed at our facility. Thanks again for giving us an opportunity to earn your business.
