An awesome place to get your car fixed! I broke down and AAA recommend them. They went far beyond there services helping me get home and the repair was a fair price. My entire service were explained to me and I plan on using them in the future for regular maintenance due to their customer service!!!

Everyone I encountered at Shepherd was kind and amiable, and I was very excited by the way they communicated with me and by their customer service overall. Unfortunately, I was given a repair estimate of $4,400 based on their diagnostic. The diagnosis was accurate, but the quote was off by $1,500 due to an inaccurate evaluation of the price of the transmission. A $4,400 repair bill was extremely close to the top end of what I was willing to spend to repair my 2005 Acura, and both Chris and Guy clearly expressed that they understood it would not be worth paying much over this amount (since that’s very nearly what the vehicle is worth). Ultimately, though they had already begun the repair when I received the accurate total, I asked them to please put everything back together. I would have loved to rate Shepherd highly based solely on the niceness of everyone I encountered, but I was compelled to abandon the repair because of the wayward estimate.

We strive to give accurate information, which is why we reluctantly give initial quotes over the phone. I’m very sorry this happened, and understand this hindered your ability to make an informed decision. We are absorbing the costs of the additional teardown and diagnostic work that was necessary on the engine problems, to determine if the vehicle was worth replacing the transmission. I’m glad our customer service was pleasant, we are implementing new policy and procedure to improve our estimate accuracy.
